Five-year-old filly Got Stormy (Get Stormy), who turned in one of the best turf performances of 2019 when she bested the boys in Saratoga's GI Fourstardave H. in August, returns to open company for Saturday's GI Frank E. Kilroe Mile S. at Santa Anita. Subsequently second in the GI Woodbine Mile Sept. 14, she again completed the exacta as the favorite behind eventual champion turf female Uni (GB) (More Than Ready) in the course-and-distance GI Breeders' Cup Mile Nov. 2. She annexed the GI Matriarch S. at Del Mar Dec. 1 to complete a four-for-eight 2019 campaign, but was seen checking in a somewhat puzzling fourth at 20 cents on the dollar in Tampa's GIII Endeavour S. Feb. 8.

One with strong local form is River Boyne (Ire) (Dandy Man {Ire}), who of his eight career victories, seven have come on the local lawn. He defeated several of these returning rivals in the GIII Thunder Road S. here Feb. 8. River Boyne was fourth in last year's Kilroe behind Ohio (Brz) (Elusive Quality), who ended a six-race winless drought in Turf Paradise's Cotton Fitzsimmons Mile H. Jan. 11. River Boyne was third in that event. Desert Stone (Ire) (Fastnet Rock {Ire}), third in last year's Kilroe, was last seen taking the nine-panel GII San Gabriel S. here Jan. 4.
